Since August 2024, Jasmin Schneider has been part of the CHAINMASTER team. The 24-year-old business administrator is currently completing her part-time studies to become a business economist.

In her daily work, Jasmin is responsible for the spare parts and logistics departments, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. She especially enjoys the dynamic nature of her role: staying on the move, reacting quickly, and keeping an overview of both areas. The constant switching between customer requests, solution-oriented tasks, and coordination with shipping partners makes her work varied and exciting.

What Jasmin loves most about CHAINMASTER is the team environment and close collaboration. Even a stressful day is manageable – and with the right colleagues, even the most challenging tasks can be fun

In her free time, Jasmin enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, and finding balance in nature, for example through fishing trips.

For the future, she hopes that CHAINMASTER will continue to stay flexible, provide fast and effective solutions, and maintain the strong team spirit across the company.

Raphael, 40 years old, is from Eilenburg and is a proud father of a daughter. Since 2018, he has been an important part of the CHAINMASTER team, with a brief break until 2020. Today, he leads production in the rigging department and is also responsible for purchasing and inventory management across the entire assembly area.

What Raphael particularly values about his work is the close collaboration with his colleagues, as well as the variety of tasks that arise from constantly changing customer requirements – and the opportunity to successfully deliver these together as a team, on time and to a high standard.

Looking to the future, Raphael hopes that CHAINMASTER will continue to stand strong as a team, where each individual has the opportunity to grow, and where shared success remains at the core of their efforts.

Our CHAINMASTER products are often referred to as “invisible heroes” because they form the basis for impressive projects. But who are the real invisible heroes responsible for the skillful use of our products? In the third part of the blog series, we introduce you to another CHAINMASTER enthusiast. We interviewed, Jorge Reis a motors technician at Neg Earth Lights, and asked him 10 questions that let us take a look behind the scenes.

Describe yourself in 3 words:  Inclusive, caring, and committed.

How did you end up working in the live events industry? I came to England, did school, and later pursued a business degree with a focus on business analytics. However, it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. My mum had already been working in the live events industry at Neg, and when an opportunity came up, Neg took me in. That’s how I ended up in the industry, and I’ve been here ever since. It’s been a great journey, and I really enjoy what I do.

Tell us more about your company – Neg Earth Lights: Neg Earth Lights was founded in 1983 by Pip and Dave Ridgway. We’re a leading supplier of lighting and rigging equipment, specialising in live events. We provide high-end equipment, including lights, cables, and motors, with a focus on quality and practicality for top-tier clients. The company is fantastic to work for, and not only is it a large organisation, but the people here are incredible. Pip and Dave genuinely take care of everyone, and I’m proud to be part of the team.

What is the most recent show you have worked on? The most recent show I worked on here was 21 Pilots. When it comes to working with the crew, my most recent experience was with Rammstein, where I helped prep equipment at LH2. Both experiences were amazing!

What is your favourite all-time show you have worked on? My favourite show would have to be Adele in Munich. It was a huge event, and it was also memorable because it had the Guinness World Record for the biggest temporary live screen. Adele’s performance was phenomenal.

What do you like about CHAINMASTER?  I really appreciate the design and quality of CHAINAMSTER motors. The chain spec is smaller than other brands but still as strong, which makes them more compact and efficient. Additionally, we’ve never had a CHAINMASTER motor malfunction, which says a lot about its quality and durability!

You can choose any artist from the current or past to work with. Who would it be? I would love to work with Leonard Cohen. His music, especially songs like Famous Blue Raincoat, is beautiful, and I think it would have been incredible to be part of his live performances.

What was the last show you went to, that you were not working on? The last show I attended as a fan was Swan Lake, a ballet performance I went to with my mum. For music, the last show I saw was Nick Cave, which was also amazing.

What “Tech” item could you not live without?  I couldn’t live without my Leatherman Wave+. It was a gift from my grandma, and it has my name engraved on it. It’s a multi-tool, and I use it regularly for various tasks. It’s not just practical; it’s also very sentimental to me.

It’s your ideal day off. How and where would you spend your time? My ideal day off would be sunny and spent outdoors. I’d start by walking around places like Brick Lane or Camden in the morning when it’s quieter. Then, I’d head to a lovely Italian restaurant in Soho for lunch, followed by some time to relax and read. If there’s a good show in the evening, that would make the day perfect.

Juliane Goj-Kux, 37 years old, has been part of the CHAINMASTER team since July 2022. Over the past three years, she has proven herself to be a real all-rounder: In addition to assisting the management, she takes on other diverse tasks – from accounting and purchasing to human resources.

What does Juliane particularly appreciate? The varied tasks, the collegial atmosphere and the industry, which she finds not only exciting but also very familiar. Outside of work, she spends a lot of time with her dogs, enjoys going to concerts and immersing herself in exciting books.

For the future, Juliane hopes that CHAINMASTER will continue to be successful – and that she will still be able to discover the CHAINMASTER chain hoists at concerts in 20 years’ time.

Today we would like to introduce you to Marco Müller, who has been an important part of the CHAINMASTER team since March 2021. Marco, 41 years old and father of two kids, is not only an expert in his field, but also a family man who enjoys spending time with his family, working in the garden and has a passion for football – be it on or off the pitch. Before joining us, Marco had already been working for our ‘parent company’ LIFTKET since 2008. He is now contributing his many years of experience to CHAINMASTER’s sales department, where he is responsible for all sales-related issues – which currently also includes supporting the introduction of the new ERP system. Marco particularly appreciates the direct contact with our customers and working in a commercial and technical environment. The collaboration with his colleagues and the dynamic atmosphere inspire him every day. For the future, Marco would like to see more exciting innovations at CHAINMASTER that he can present to our customers worldwide. He wants to contribute to anchoring the brand even more firmly in the global market and is looking forward to the challenges ahead in our young, vibrant industry.

Herbert Diener – the 54-year-old family man finds the perfect balance to his varied job at CHAINMASTER in mountain biking. Mr. Diener has already been working at CHAINMASTER for 19 years and has had the opportunity to get to know several areas during this time. He started in 2004 as a production employee, then later in the commissioning & service department. For some time now, Herbert has been Production Manager at CHAINMASTER. His responsibilities include not only production management, but also project business and all administrative tasks within production. Thanks to special and unusual customer requests, he never gets bored . For his future at CHAINMASTER, he hopes for continued positive cooperation within the entire LIFTKET Group and that “everything stays as nice as it is ”.

Nikos Böttcher – 29 years young and sporty. Running in his local area is the perfect balance to his varied job at CHAINMASTER. Nikos has been working in the sales department for more than 3 years now. He particularly enjoys dealing with international customers from all over the world on a daily basis. For his future at CHAINMASTER, he hopes to continue having many exciting moments with fascinating customer projects and special solutions where he can work as a salesman.

Markus Pogrzeba – the 45-year-old football fan of the Kansas City Chiefs actively plays darts in his spare time. He has been working at CHAINMASTER for almost 22 years now and has already been able to take care of several areas of responsibility during this time. Starting in the wiring department and working in the incoming and outgoing goods departments, Markus now takes care of the “assembly” department. He ensures that our motors are correctly assembled every day. The team and the active interaction with colleagues are an important part of his job at CHAINMASTER, which he hopes will continue in the future, in addition to the ongoing success of the company.
