Case Study: Iconic venue chooses CHAINMASTER
The O2 Academy Leeds, one of the most popular concert and event venues in the United Kingdom, recently invested in electric chain hoists from CHAINMASTER and load cells (CELLMASTER).
Why CHAINMASTER?
Stephen Sparke, Technical Manager for the venue approached CHAINMASTER looking for an upgrade to the current rigging installation, which had in place since 2008. Stephen was looking for a system that allowed people to be present below the rigging, without the need for secondary safeties. CHAINMASTER D8Plus Ultra, Low Voltage control hoists were specified for that purpose.

The 2300 capacity venue is a popular destination on the touring map of the UK music scene. Due the age and ornate nature of the building, the loading on the roof structure is limited. A permanent truss ground support structure is used over stage to ensure touring rigs can be accommodated.
